The internship is only compulsory for the students enrolled befor the winter term 2006/07. The Digital Media study program emphasizes authentic experience. An internship can give insights into the practical aspects of the working world which no university can hope to authentically convey.

The practical experiences gathered during the internship will complement those gained in the study program, providing guidance and orientation. Students will be better prepared for their professional life in an increasingly international job-market. Feedback from practical experience into the university's functions of education and research will be most welcome.

The general aim is to inspire reflective thinking about job qualifications, individual choices of direction in the study program, professional objectives, and, last not least, the social implications of one's own life and work.
