Bachelor Project PDF Print

The Bachelor Project holds special importance inside the Digital Media study program. It provides a unique kind of course experience, uniting for one year a group of students and instructors who combine their efforts to work on a sizable, real-world problem.

The project conflates and concentrates everything students have learned so far. More than this: The workgroup must first learn to develop their own goals, then enter uncharted territory in quest of finding an actual solution to their task. The Bachelor Project thus becomes an educational environment promoting a high volume of self-organization. It inspires both, individual and cooperative efforts, all within the framework of a given assignment. In short, the Bachelor Project represents a rather multi-faceted challenge.

Bachelor projects usually are arranged into the following sections: Analysis of the given task; the definition of goals and the search for solutions; implementation and application of a prototypical solution; evaluation. A final report concludes the project.
